Renewal of Consecration to Mary

Foreword

Tomorrow begins a period of preparation for the renewal of our consecration to Mary. The thirty-three days will culminate, Deo volente, with the the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a date with a particular resonance for the author and his family.

The materials used will incorporate those of the first preparation which began on the 8th of January this year and culminated with the Feast of the Apparition of the Immaculate Virgin Mary at Lourdes.

Woman, behold thy son...Behold thy mother. J-J Tissot
D’abord vient une période préliminaire de douze jours, où l’on travaille « à se vider de l’esprit du monde » à travers la pénitence et la mortification.
First comes a preliminary period of twelve days where we strive to ''empty ourselves of the spirit of the world'' through penance and mortification.

[1 Jn 2 ]
[16] For all that is in the world, is the concupiscence of the flesh, and the concupiscence of the eyes, and the pride of life, which is not of the Father, but is of the world. [17] And the world passeth away, and the concupiscence thereof: but he that doth the will of God, abideth for ever.[1 Jn 2]

Totus tuus ego sum
Et omnia mea tua sunt;
Tecum semper tutus sum:
Ad Jesum per Mariam
