Chapter 5 : The Fourth Star or Splendour of the Crown of Excellence of the Mother of God
Continuing our translation of the 1845 reprint of Fr François Poiré's Triple Crown of the Mother of God (1643 French edition).

§ 5. How the whole Trinity was present at these divine espousals in an ineffable manner
3 They will add that through the eternal generation of the Word, the Father has a close interconnection with the Son and the Son with the Father; that by the procession of the Holy Ghost the Father and the Son have another interconnection with the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost with both of these, as being the love and the link between the two. In the same way, these three persons were capable of a new connection, in the form of an addition to their perfection, but coming from outside the Trinity. This connection is one which arose from the temporal generation of the divine Word and which was accomplished in the womb of the most sacred Virgin. The Holy Ghost, by virtue of His role as Spouse, took the lead part in this divine work which we can with good reason compare to a distillation of all the works and all the miracles of God.
4 I realize there is little point in contradicting this and, in any case, I have no intention of probing further into this teaching in order to discredit it. I will only say that all these interpretations are characterised more by their subtlety than simply reflecting the meaning and intention of this Doctor, whose only claim was that the blessed Virgin was entirely filled with the most Holy Trinity, in all its immensity. To appreciate this, we only have to recall his words when he made a comparison between Noe’s Ark and the Virgin, which he did in these terms:
One was an Ark for the animals, the other was the Ark of life; one contained creatures subject to corruption, the other bore life incorruptible; one held the just man Noe, the other held the Father and Creator of Noe; one was divided by three decks into three sections, the other was filled throughout by the most Holy Trinity : by the Father who overshadows her[1], by the Son who is in her womb and by the Holy Ghost on the nuptial couch.
Who can fail to see that this accomplishment, or to translate the Greek word more faithfully, this fulness[2] which we are discussing, must be understand in the passive sense; so that when all the fulness of the Trinity[3] is said to dwell within the Holy Virgin, this means she is completely filled with the Trinity and there is no space remaining; for her body, her soul, her memory, her understanding, her will and all her faculties are filled with this adorable Trinity?
