She is the source of eternal happiness for her chosen children

§ 2. The MOTHER OF GOD is the principle of predestination and eternal happiness for all the Elect
6 In the third place, it is worth remembering what we said in Part II[1] – that her glorious titles of Mediatrix, Reparatrix and Redemptrix befit her not only for having given us a Mediator, a Reparator[2] and a Redeemer, but also for having cooperated with Him in the work of our redemption and for having united her will, her sufferings and her merits to the will, sufferings and merits of her beloved Son. From this it follows that just as the Saviour through His sufferings and merits has been the principle of eternal happiness for the elect, in the same way His blessed Mother has through her works and merits contributed to their attainment of this happiness, in a proportionate manner. The merits of the Saviour had a perfect equality with the reward that the Eternal Father was granting them. This was something higher than anything they could ever have imagined and cannot be said in the same sense of the most holy Virgin. This notwithstanding, God had prepared for His Son such a worthy Mother with the aim of conferring benefits on her in every way suited to her role and status. He was pleased to accept the oblation she made of her only begotten Son and the satisfaction she offered, in such a way and to such an extent that it was fitting for all the Elect. In consequence of this, it is clear that in a sense she can also be called the origin and source of predestination for them all.

Cf. 1701 “It is evident that the Christian Religion which proposes to us Jesus Christ as a Mediator and Reparator, supposes the corruption of nature by original sin.” (now rare: OED).
7 Fourthly, we should not forget her title as Superintendent of the Saviour’s resources which was also discussed in Part II. This title means she can with good cause be called the principle or source of eternal happiness for all the Elect, inasmuch as all those graces and favours of Heaven which help them to bring to fulfilment the work of their predestination, without exception, pass through the hands of this heavenly Superintendent. From this it follows that all the Elect are in every way indebted to her for the fulfilment of their election with these same graces.
8 Finally, we may note that the predestination of the Elect is called in Scripture a heavenly generation, as I shall be saying at the end of the Chapter, recalling the words of St John[1]. Accordingly, for this to be fully accomplished, it was most fitting that there should be a Father and a Mother, both heavenly in their origin and extraction, who in an altogether saintly and celestial manner should beget the children of salvation for heaven, raising them and providing them with all they might need, so that they could enter into and enjoy the inheritance which their spiritual birth had obtained for them.

9 From the different things we have been saying, you can see how the Holy of Virgin can be called the Mother of all the children of salvation, and the Principle of eternal happiness for all the Predestined. For all these reasons, without for the time being mentioning any others, it is right and fitting that she should receive their prayers of thanksgiving for as long as they enjoy this happiness, and this holds true for all the elect in general.
Let us now move on to discuss those who by virtue of a special favour belong to the MOTHER OF GOD.
